Kick off your Saturday morning by checking out why Henry County is the place where basketball lives by visiting Indiana’s Basketball Hall of Fame. The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame is in New Castle and has over 14,000 square feet dedicated to Indiana’s favorite pastime. On the main exhibition floor, you will find sections featuring Indiana’s own John Wooden, Oscar Robertson, and Larry Bird.

After visiting the Basketball Hall of Fame in New Castle it’s time to make the short drive to Knightstown’s Hoosier Gym. If you aren’t familiar with the Hoosier Gym, it was used as the movie Hoosiers filming location for the Hickory Huskers’ home gym. However, it’s more than that today. Your father can take a few shots on the iconic gym floor and explore more basketball history.
